As part of the “Športno jutro z Luko Koper” program on Radio Capris, Marjan Marušič, president of the Table Tennis Club Škofije, was invited to the studio to present the club’s activities, achievements, and ongoing community initiatives. During the interview, special attention was dedicated to the BrainSpin project, which focuses on supporting the rehabilitation and quality of life of people with Parkinson’s disease through movement-based approaches and table tennis activities.
Research has shown that table tennis can contribute to improvements in motor symptoms, balance, coordination, and daily functioning in individuals with Parkinson’s disease. The discussion highlighted the importance of combining sport, neuroscience, and community engagement to create innovative rehabilitation opportunities.
