First 5-day workshop at Alma Mater Europaea University in Ljubljana.

The BrainSpin project will begin with its first international 5-day workshop, taking place 4–8 May at Alma Mater Europaea University in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The workshop will bring together project partners, trainers, researchers, and professionals working in sport, rehabilitation, and Parkinson’s care. During the event, participants will take part in the BrainSpin Train-the-Trainer program, which combines theoretical lectures, practical table tennis training sessions, and interdisciplinary discussions on Parkinson’s rehabilitation.

The program will focus on understanding the motor and cognitive challenges associated with Parkinson’s disease, learning how to adapt table tennis exercises to different disease stages, and developing coaching strategies that support safe, engaging, and inclusive training environments.

This first workshop represents an important milestone for the project, laying the foundation for the implementation of table tennis interventions across multiple European countries and establishing a strong network of certified trainers who will lead BrainSpin activities locally.
